Hey..hey..I'm back...I apologize for not updating for so long. I was busy with other work, my latin band and just recently a long holiday to New Zealand. Thanks for all your support in the ME Clutch! I've been getting awesome amounts of orders and I've been filling all my spare time with sewing. What a great way to express my creativity!

I know all of you have been waiting for my new collection of fabbies for the ME Clutch so here are some special edition of cotton fabrics from New Zealand. Hey there friends..this is my first blog for 2010..Happy New Year! Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Valentine's everybody! So sorry for being late in adding my blog cos I have been so overwhelmed with orders for the ME CLUTCH! Thanks so much for all your support dear friends.

This post introduces the beautiful ME Clutches big sister (4' by 10' inches) at only RM 50 inclusive of postage. For only RM 15 more than the standard clutch, it's longer than the standard ME Clutch, can stash more things and comes in plain but elegant blue, purple and black sateen fabrics too. The design on cotton designer fabrics are also more visible compared to the standard ME Clutch. Suitable for dinner or a funky night out! Shown are examples of done BIG SIS Me Clutches if you are interested.
Clutches can be made from the selection of available US designer fabbies listed in SEPT 2009 posts or blue (sateenny cotton-slight shine), purple (sateenny cotton-slight shine )or black (pure sateen-very shiny) fabrics as shown above. Other plain colour sateen fabrics MAY (depending on store availability) be available only upon request.

Remember buttons may differ from pics shown above depending on availability as each clutch is unique! :) You may choose either the shiny string diamente deco or the buttons for the sateen BIG SIS ME Clutch. This entry is just dedicated to my collecton of buttons. :) I buy mine mostly from the Art Friend shop and through Etsy. Just received a new batch from Thailand. I think it's cheaper than buying them here in KL and there's more variety online. I heard there are nice ones at Yee buttons SS2PJ but I have yet to check it out. Do tell if you know any good place to buy cute buttons! So here are some pics!

ME CLUTCHES

First of all I would like to explain the meaning of the ME Clutch.Basically, the ME Clutch symbolises everything about a person's personality. When you are carrying the ME Clutch,you are carrying YOUR personality or perhaps in your words, "This is ME, this is MY style!" Hence the different fabric designs of the ME Clutch :)

So let's get to know the ME Clutch a bit more closer.

First of all, modelling this cute clutch is my cute cat Oreo. He observes everything I do so you will be seeing a lot of him in this blog. He even sits next to my sewing machine when I sew. Sometimes his fur gets on the fabrics and you can even see it on some pics here but don't worry I make sure I clean the clutches before sending them out to my clients. Silly cat. Aaanyyywayyy....

So here are the pretty ME CLUTCH stats :

SIZE : 8' by 4' (length and height in inches)

MADE OF : Designer cotton fabric, ultra firm interfacing, lining, thick cotton canvas, metal magnetic snaps, plastic buttons.

MAKE : Totally handmade

WIDTH : 1 inch

FEEL : It's mediumweight, flexible but keeps its shape, non-washable cos there's cardboard for support and fits perfectly within your palm.

The ME CLUTCH does not include zips or straps or handles.Buttons may also differ with each individual clutch made depending on the buttons available and each Me Clutch is unique and never the same.

However, I'll be coming up with handbag designs soon so those will probably include them.

So be patient ppl!!! :)) But that's for another posting. For now it's just the clutches.

This is the front view.You can see the magnetic snaps attached.

This is the inside view with the ME label handpainted with fabric paint on canvas.The clutch lining in this pic is prior to ironing so it's a bit crumpled. As you can see plenty of space for a maybe a slim handphone, important cards, some cash and a lippie! It covers tightly when closed and even coins will not drop out.

Another clutch with the Hippie Chicks designer fabric ..what do you think of the buttons? You know you can specify how many buttons you want on your clutch.Some of my customers ask for just one button, others ask for a lot and others ask for none.However, the maximum is 8 pieces of buttons for each clutch.

The lining is made of a satinny cottony (is that a word?) semi shine fabric in grey.It's thick and durable and supported by heavy duty cotton canvas imported from Korea. I really hate when I buy bags and the lining is so thin it tears of easily from the seams so I made sure my clutches have good tough linings.

The tiny flowers just pop don't they?

This is a pretty one.The fabric is by Luella Doss and Andrea Schuster.I made this for my niece. She paid a bit more for more buttons so this was custom made for her.

L.O.V.E.S. it!! Even feel like keeping it for myself! Every clutch is unique even when it's sewn with the same fabric.

YES! It's finally here the frikin canvas and Peltex Single sided interfacing (somehow I just love saying this over and over again :)). The canvas arrived on the 4 th actually and I had to get it from the post office.Stupid me for not checking the postbox earlier.Then the interfacing arrived on the 16th.I was so very excited.

Unfortunately there was one thing that I was worried that hadn't arrived yet...my new collection of yummy fabrics.Then with ultimate yayness, I got the notice in my mailbox today for another package which I assume is my treasure of fabbies.However, the downside to it is that I can only take after raya cos demmet the post office sure close la for the holidays.

I've already finished a few clutches and wanted to send to my awaiting clients oso cannot cos like I said the posmen all holiday lah! Gonna upload some pics for you to see of my journey of my homemade clutches. As you can see down below are the envelopes and packages that I've received from overseas.These pics here are pics of my magnetic snaps from Hong Kong, the peltex interfacing from United States and the cotton canvas from Korea.

So these are my fabrics.I will present it in a more compact and easy to see manner a bit later in the blog.For now, I just wanna show you my raw materials first.

Well I've still not received my packages.I have to check the mailbox to see if I get any notices to pick up anything from the post office.I reckon the cotton canvas I should get sooner cos it's from Korea. Anyone know where I can buy cotton canvas locally? But really the most important things that I need is the Peltex interfacing from the US cos I can't start anything without it..
Oh well what to do..Anyway I'm gonna be compiling some other stuff for you guys to see..like my past projects, my singing activities and some blings that I have..:)
So patience patience..(taking deep breath)..the stuff will come..

Where the heck is my stuff? I'm supposed to receive my Peltex 71 single sided interfacing and my cotton canvas from US and Korea respectively within this week but it's not arrived yet. Hopefully I'll get them soon..I really need to start on my clutches cos I have clients waiting for them. My hands also itchy cos I really wanna start sewing with my new Singer 2624.Grrr..Anyway, I'll update you as soon as it arrives.(tapping fingers..waiting impatiently..)
